Registration:    Jadaf Nurseries behind Al Wasal Hospital

The Creek Hash House Harriers are again this year arranging a Creek Relay Race.  Unfortunately the format and route has been totally revised to that of previous years due to the construction activities around the south end of the Creek.  This year the race will start and finish at the open ground located behind the Jadaf Nurseries. 

The race is open to all hashes, running and sports groups and individual teams, but will be limited to a maximum of 50 teams of four.  Teams wishing to be considered for the prize must have at least one lady member.  There are a total of 8 stages with each team member to run 2 stages.  A team vehicle will be required to ferry team members between stages. Stages lengths vary from 3.5 to 6.0 Kms. 

As last year there will be prizes for the team finishing nearest to their predicted time, plus the fastest team as well as some additional random one depending on the number of entered teams.  We will attempt to marshal runners through the tricky parts of the route.  However copies of the route mark will be distributed at the briefings held at the Start/Finish area. 

Registration of teams can be done on the race day, however to make things easier and to benefit from a discount, teams are encouraged to register in advance.  Collection of registration fees and registration can be undertaken between 9000 – 1000 hrs. 

Team registration is to be submitted on-line at www.creekhash.net “Creek Relay” or alternatively can be faxed and marked to “Creek Relay” on 04 8815376 and to include team name, runners names, one email address and predicted time before Thursday 21^st February 2008.

Costs are Dhs.240 per team until Wednesday 20^th February 2008.  After that the cost rises to Dhs.300 per team for late registrations.  Allocations will be made on a first come first served basis.  

To try to get teams finishing close together, start times will be staggered. Teams predicting 3 hrs. or more to start at 1000 hrs.  Teams predicting less than 3 hrs. start delayed by number of minutes under. 

BBQ snacks, i.e. hot dogs and burgers will be available for runners and guests afterwards.
